Meet Celeste

Welcome to Celeste’s Childcare. My name is Celeste and I have been working with children for over 20 years. I worked as a Gymnastics Coach for 10 years at Seattle Gymnastics Academy where I learned so much about positive teaching and how it makes such a difference in a child’s life. I worked as a teacher in an infant room at a Bright Horizon Learning Garden for almost 2 years where we had six infants at any given time between six weeks and 8 months old. I spent another 2 years as a teacher in the young toddler room at another location of a Bright Horizon Learning Garden before I took a nanny position. That turned into a lifelong second family to me and the best experience I could have ever imagined. I spent 40-50 hours a week helping to raise two amazing children for seven years and both of them will always hold a special place in my heart.
I believe the first years of a child’s life are by far the most important. As care takers, we are laying an important foundation for a child’s intellectual and emotional development. Through nurturing and individualized attention, I provide a fun-learning environment where every child feels accepted, loved, and wanted, giving them a strong self-esteem and purpose. I offer guidance and structure while nurturing every child’s ideas and imaginations and validating each individual personality. I have a passion for working with children. I love how excited they are about life and I learn from them everyday. I teach through patience, love, and offering positive experiences in the hopes of making a difference in their lives. I am committed to providing a quality childcare program that nurtures every individual and offers a positive, safe learning environment where children feel secure and self-empowered while learning social skills. |
